I was born and raised in Western New York. My dream of being a photographer started a young age. I was about twelve to thirteen. My mother had this camera that we were all told not to touch. I spotted a unique butterfly. For some reason I could not resist. I grabbed my mother’s camera and I took a photograph of the butterfly. I must not have placed the camera back where it was because my mother asked who took the photograph. When I admitted that it was me, instead of being scolded, I found myself being praised for my artistic eye. Shortly after, my parents invested in a camera that I could have for my own.
There is a photograph buried inside of one of the sections of a dragonfly. That photograph is my first photo I ever took with my own camera.
I attended SUNY Fredonia and got my degree in Fine Arts and New Media with a focus on photography. From there, I worked at Cedar Point as a supervisor in their photography department. Since then, I have done wedding, engagement, and infant photography on and off. Since then, I have gotten married myself and found life to be far too busy to take new photographs, but a surge of passion and hope for the future has brought me back.
